Selection logic
Appliance lids can use the same gravity-torque principle, but seals, springs, hinges, friction and opening geometry can substantially change real movement. Start with the real application data, then confirm the final model on the actual assembly.
The final damper or hinge selection should also consider movement speed, friction, springs, installation space, rotation direction and the number of damping elements.
